Broadband connectivity, now emerging worldwide as a key index in ascertaining economic development, is appallingly low in India. In a country of 1100 million, there are only 7.21 million subscribers. Several factors that have caused this, but most importantly, it is so because the country has been unable to build wiring infrastructure. Laying copper or fiber-optic cables to every premise in India is virtually impossible. Only broadband wireless solutions aka WiMAX will be able to meet the trifecta of time, cost and bandwidth requirements, and enable widespread adoption of broadband.
The Indian data connectivity market consists of three major segments – Large corporates, SMEs and Residential Users. These segments are very large and are collectively expected to reach a market size of US$11B in 2012, from a few billion today.
MetaMAX serves all the three major markets through tailored solutions that deliver the highest value to each customer in these segments. |
